Effects of inorganic and organic selenium intervention on resistance of radish to arsenic stress

Arsenic (As) pollution, a potential threat for human health, in vegetables is one of the primary sources As intake by body. In Pot Experiment, content, physiological index and antioxidant enzyme activity radish were determined. The results demonstrated that order concentration tissues was roots > stems leaves. Organic selenium (Se) can inhibit absorption arsenic more effectively than inorganic Se. application organic Se low selenite (Se(IV)) significantly enhanced stress resistance increasing superoxide dismutase peroxidase activity, soluble protein, chlorophyll proline reducing malondialdehyde content. contrast, high Se(IV) selenate (Se(VI)) treatment group toxicological effects on radish. This study provides an idea further research remediation mechanism to toxicity reference adoption fertilizer agriculture.
